It talked about that how Griffith has made this scanner that can run through wikipedia and see where people have tampered with information. They talked about that it was a good source and that the information on it was good. If a person can go on and change information how can it be a good source. A lot of my teachers have said don't use wikipedia because isn't not a good source for information.

The podcast on Wikipedia is about Virgil Griffith how went on wikipedia and changes to it about how much Walmart employees make. Also how can this site be trusted as a source of information. I do agree that it has a lot of information out there about certain topics. If you can go on to a site and change words I would have to say that it might not be a very good site to use as a source.

I mean think about it someone who knows nothing about a topic can go on it and change it. And they are trying to convince people that this is a good site to use. I think not I mean really. Most people are not going to think very highly of that site. I know that I would not use it. The information in not that reliable and anyone can go in and change information.

That tells you that it is not a good source. I really don't think that wikipedia can be trusted or is a reliable source for information. So I would not recommend this as a place to go find information about a topic or anything else. It went on to say that you can change and it shows where the change came from. So here is my question to u do u think that it is a good source?

I have to tell you that was the most inspirational speech that I have ever heard. As I was listening to it I got the impression that he was going to be talking about the programs that he has done ,and a little bit about his life. He speech got the attention of the audience and keep it throughout his speech. I really liked how he used props throughout his lecture.He was so inspirational to his students as well as other people.

He really did achieve all of this goals in this life. The virtual was amazing I think that was the coolest thing that I have ever seen. The things that his students came up with it was just unbelievable.I do agree with him if you make learning fun and not having to read from a book students are more likely to retain the information as well as have fun with it. And the way he got the attention was amazing because it left you wanting more from the lecture. He also got to work with Disney on a virtual world. The movie was called Aladdin. He helped with the game for it the magic carpet ride.

I have to say I started to cry throughout the lecture it moved me so much. I comes from my grandmother had the same cancer. She was such a fighter like the professor It made me think of her as he was talking and what she went through. She out lived when she was suppose to not be with us and then things finally got bad and she did past. It was really great that he got to do those things and make the goals in his life.

It was kinda cool at the end of the lecture. He made the lecture for his kids so that they never loose site of there dreams. And if you truly want something to happen you just have to fight for it. It's like from some of Disney's films "Your Dreams do Come True". Not a lot of people can say that.

I do agree with him that we need to have technology in our lives. Especially if you are a teacher so that you can keep up with the new and exciting tools that are coming out to help you and your students learn even more. To help you become even more successful in what ever you decide to be when you grow up.Because so much of it is changing every day and that there are new and better ways of teaching the students. It's like what he said in his blog that if you don't know that much about technology. Like back then it would be the same as not knowing how to read or write.

So much of our lives revolves around technology from our phones that we talk on everyday to the phone like ON Star that can call for help if you get into an wreck in your car. Or the web cam on your computer that you talk to your friend or husband half away around the world. It helps us write papers neatly. It helps us know whats going on half away around the world.

Technology is aways going to be a apart of our lives. And it's changing all the time. So I think that it is very important to have it and to know how it works and it doesn't have to take up your whole day just spend a little bit of time with it each day. It will make you a more rounded person and a little smarter. It can't hurt to know just a little bit more about technology.

The clip "A Vision of Students Today" was kinda an eye opener. It talked about college students that where getting there degrees and going to school. It talked about how much they study.It also talked about that there might not be jobs out there for the students that are about to graduate or in the process of. That is a scary thought to think that you go to school and finish college and get a degree and you might not have a job when you get done. It's like you take all this time and money to better yourself to make you a more rounded person. And stay in school and you might have a job. That's a little hard to think about.

Because most college kids are on loans or grants or even scholarships. I think that they did a great job showing the facts about it in a different way. It got my attention. It did show a lot of what college kids go throught. The studying late hours the not sleeping. And trying to stay somewhat sane throught the whole college expericence and not getting to stressed out about it.

"What I've learned This Year" by Mr.McClung


"What I've learned This year" By Mr.McClung I thought that he gave a lot of very good tips. For example you can't set your standards too high and then punish them for not being able to keep up or learn the material.I really enjoyed his blog i found that it was useful and helpful. He also talked about communication and that it was really important and to be able to talk to your co-workers and your students. So that you can stop any problem before it happens.

He also talked about lesson plans that sometimes they may not go perfect but you just need to do what you can and not get to stressed about it. His blog is filled with helpful tips. He also talks about that technology is a great thing and that it's hard to keep up with because its changing every day and that you just do your best to stay with it and to keep learning.

He also said that you can never stop learning because there are coming out with new things every day. Everyday new and better things are coming out to help teachers teach and help students learn. I really enjoyed his blog. I thought it was very useful and had a lot of great tips in it for teachers.

The Benefits of Podcasting in the Classroom.

The clip talked about that the podcasting was helping the children use there creativity. It also helped them use a higher level of thinking. The podcast are so useful to help the student if they are sick. They can still listen to the lecture and not get so behind in there school work. Or if they didn't understand something they can listen to it again so that they may understand it a little more.
The clip also talked that the parents enjoy it because they can know what is being taught in the classroom. All of the staff was excited about the podcast and thought it was a great tool. That should be in all schools. Also that the podcast can help so many ways they child can take it with them on there ipod and be able to listen again so that if they have a question they can ask it the next day in class. Also if the family goes on a vacation then the child wouldn't get behind in the lectures or class work.
Over all I really think that these podcast are neat and really useful in the classroom. Because you are able to take it with you instead of trying to write down notes as a teacher talks. You are able to listen more and then go back and listen to it again. Podcast are the next best thing besides the book for students.

Should all Teachers be Technology Literate?


The Video cast that I watched was allot better than having to listen to it. It Gave out good information about the subject. They all did a good job with the speaking being able to here them which was nice you where able to make out what they where saying. They did good bring in the subject of the video into the introduction. It was very smooth. Also that they brought good information to the video.

One of the things that I would change would be that they all kinda dress the same. Because it was one extreme to the other from a business suit to a t shirt. The other would be to have each of them talk more equally than just two people doing most of the talking. I think that they did a good job with both sides of the argument.

I thought that the video cast was good. There's allways going to be a few things that can be changed. But nothing can be perfect. I can't wait to make a video cast. I know that I'm going to learn allot just as the students in the video.
